Blue eyed whites are known for their piercing blue eyes and are very unique to work with. Their breeding genetics are very important to know what to breed back to while breeding them. The Blue eyed white genetics are all the same in all breeds. It is actually quite confusing until you get to know the color and genetics.
Please, if I had made this anymore confusing for you while trying to learn about them, please let me know and I will try to fix that. Its hard to see a flaw in it when I already understand the BEW's!!!

- BEW (Blue eyed whites)
- VM (Vienna Marked) Meaning the rabbit is marked with white from the Parents or Grandparents being a Blue eyed white. Sometimes the Rabbit will not be marked with white but will have Blue eyes or blue spots in their eyes, these are also included as VM's.
- VC (Vienna Carrier) Meaning the rabbit is not marked in anyway that they are from Blue eyed white genes, but all though it doesnt show.
Getting started with bringing in the Blue Eyed whites
When breeding the Blue eyed whites, you would be best off with a trio or more blue eyed whites to get you started faster. You can start with just one, but it will take some time to get a pure blue eyed white. I"ve started out with just one Blue eyed white in the Jersey Woolies, but I am getting to the time where I can start getting Blue eyed white babies. If you only get one, it would preferably be a Buck so you can get more babies from him and more of a selection of them to keep, as in getting just one doe, you can would have to wait the month for her to kindle, wait for the babies to be weaned and give the doe a break before you go ahead and breed her again. Since you have to breed them to a non blue eyed white carrier, these babies will be VM's and VC's. These will be Doe's so you can re-breed back to the father. After you keep as many as you like, wait until they are breeding age, you can line breed them back to the Blue eyed white Parent and get BEW's. It will take more then 7 Months if you only get one BEW before you can get some BEW youngsters yourself!
Trying to improve your BEW's quality
If your going to try to improve the quality in your Blue eyed whites, find a very nice buck/doe who doesnt have the blue eyed white in the pedigrees, and breed her/him to a BEW/VM/VC. Preferably a BEW so the color doesnt go too far into the pedigree if you bred them to a VM or VC. That way you will get Vienna Carriers and Marked. So then, breed those back to a blue eyed white and just keep doing that and they will soon improve nicer and nicer the more you do it. Make sure the non carrier has nice head/ear and body.
